If you enjoy working with children, and believe you want to make a difference in their lives, Certificate III in Education Support will give you the fundamentals on how to interact with children on academic and personal levels. This nationally recognised course ultimately prepares you to become a teacher’s aide and you will learn how to help students with skills such as literacy, numeracy and language. Being a teacher’s aide is not just supporting the teacher in their teachings, but also assisting the children in their learning.

Enrolment in the program is for a maximum of 24 months.
Students must aim to complete modules by the nominated completion date and as a minimum must demonstrate ongoing progression towards completion. Extension for assessment may be awarded at the trainer’s discretion.
While undertaking the CHC30213 Certificate III in Education Support you will be required to undertake a minimum of 120 hours vocational placement in an approved education environment.
Education environments may include:
• Government School (pre-primary, primary and secondary)
• Private / Non-Government school (pre-primary, primary and secondary)
• Education Centre
• Special Education Centre
• Community Educational Centre
All students require computer or tablet with access to the Internet and a program that can open and edit Word documents (this does not have to be Microsoft Office).
This course is delivered by our blended program. Workbooks and assessment are delivered to you in electronic format via email. You do not need to come to class, however, you will need to keep in contact with your Educator and attend phone and/or web meetings to complete some of the practical components of your course. Blended learning allows you the flexibility of completing your course at your own pace, at times to suit work and other life commitments. You can work on your course at anytime, anywhere supported by your industry experienced Educator via telephone and email communication no matter where you are.
Distance learning allows you to have the same amount of convenience and flexibility as online or blended learning. The only difference is that instead of studying online, you will be studying via workbooks. Distance learning is perfect for students that prefer to have hard copy resources. Participants wishing to complete their qualification via distance instead of online will incur additional material and postage fees up to the value of $25.00 per unit.
If you have lots of experience and skills but no formal qualification you might want to consider Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). RPL is a process whereby you demonstrate that you currently have the required skills and knowledge for particular units/qualifications within the industry that you are experienced.
